In a time when uncontaminated drinking water resources

the rationing of safe water in exchange for the inhabitants' labor.
During his census it becomes obvious to Finley that
the locals are holding something back which they are afraid of; something
which now threatens his own family.
It is only with the help of the town's undertaker that
Finley begins to discover over 7000 mysteriously unaccounted for deaths
and the dark secret behind the administration of Bedroom City…
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Based on an original story, Bedroom City is a character-driven drama
set in the near future in a society facing the growing fear of water
contamination.
The story confronts the viewer with the reality that something as simple
as water, which our society tends to take for granted, can empower or
kill. It also endeavours to awaken the audience's attention to the depletion
of natural resources in our time.
The world of Bedroom City is original and strangely unfamiliar. A nocturnal
society of people who survive under almost prehistoric rules: the person
who is the owner of the most precious resources has the power, and, like
God, decides over life and death of these indebted to him.
PROJECT AWARDS
Bedroom City was selected at the co production Market, Mannheim International
Film Festival 2005, received development funding from the Hubert Bals
Fund at the Rotterdam International Film Festival in 2003 and was developed
into a first draft with an award from INCAA (Argentinean Film council)
